Technical experts from Baiyun Technology attended the ISO meeting and delivered a keynote speech.

    In early September 2025, the 50th Plenary Meeting of ISO/TC59/SC8 (Sealants) of the International Organization for Standardization was held in Berlin, Germany. Expert representatives from more than twenty countries, including China, Germany, the United States, and Japan, attended the meeting. Zhang Guanqi, Technical Director of Baiyun Technology, was invited to attend as the Convener of Working Group 10 (Aesthetic issues) and delivered a keynote speech at the meeting, focusing on reporting the latest progress of the international standard ISO 19067, which is led by Baiyun Technology.

    This standard aims to standardize the method for determining color changes in sealants used in building and civil engineering after laboratory-accelerated climate aging. It has now completed the processing of comments from the DIS (Draft International Standard) stage voting, preliminarily formed the FDIS draft, and was unanimously approved by the committee to enter the final pre-publication stage. It is expected to be officially released in January 2026.

    International standardization and the globalization of standards are important directions for China's standardization efforts in the new era. Baiyun Technology is deeply engaged in the development and revision of international standards for the sealants industry. Not only does the company send experts to attend the annual ISO/TC59/SC8 plenary meetings, but it also successfully co-hosted the 43rd plenary meeting in Guangzhou in 2018, becoming the only sealant enterprise in China to co-host such an international conference. Over the years, the company's technical experts have continued to actively participate in multiple ISO sealant standard working groups (WGs), leading the development of several standards, including ISO 13638:2021. To date, the company has participated in the development and revision of more than ten ISO standards.

    To enhance the influence of Chinese standards internationally, Baiyun Technology also took the lead in compiling the foreign language version of the industry standard "Silicone Sealants for Electrical Appliances" (English version of HG/T 5379-2018). This standard has passed review and is currently in the approval stage. Upon release, it will further promote the influence and recognition of China's silicone sealants for electrical appliances in the international market.

Baiyun Technology demonstrates systematic and sustained characteristics in its standardization efforts. To date, the company has led or participated in the development and revision of 269 domestic and international standards, covering various subfields such as basic standards, test methods, and application specifications. This provides important support for continuously promoting technological innovation, healthy development, and the proper application of products in the sealants industry.

    In the future, Baiyun Technology will continue to vigorously advance the development and revision of international standards for sealants, representing China on the international standards stage, and contributing to the globalization of Chinese standards and the advancement of Chinese sealant brands onto the world stage.
